Message Title: God's Judgment, One Solution
Hello
My Friend,
Sin, there is no other word
more powerful in the world than sin. Why? People tie the word sin
with religion. And no matter what religion you belong to, it's known
as something that is forbidden. Many people when they hear that word
flee and rebel. What is sin? Sin is any wrongdoing in the eyes of
God. Let me tell you, religion does not view sin in the same way that
God does, in fact, it is religion that imposes more restrictions on
us than God. Of course, there are some things that are an abomination
to God, but He knows that none of us are perfect, that is why He sent
His perfect Son, not only to give us an example on how God wants us
to live, but to give us a way to avoid the punishment of sin (which
no one escapes).
“As it is
written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that
understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. But now the
righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed
by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is
by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for
there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” -
Romans 3:10,11,21-24.
No
matter how big or small sin comes
with a price, and that price is death and hell, and to those who
think God is cruel for allowing hell in the first place, think again.
God does not bring evil upon us, the devil is the root of all evil, but every person born has the power to do good
and evil. We choose how we live, not God or
the devil, and unfortunately God places judgment upon all who choose evil over good. Salvation does not
exempt us from the earthly consequences
resulting from sin, but
it does pay the sin debt we owe. As John continues to see the visions
of what is to come of the world, Jesus gives one last description of
what is going on in the world and a warning for
all of His people to get out of there before
He returns.
“And
after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having
great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried
mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is
fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every
foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all
nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and
the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the
merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her
delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out
of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven,
and God hath remembered her iniquities.”
- Revelation 18:1-5.
“Come out of
her, my people,” While God's people will
be safe in the clouds when all this
destruction takes place it's important that
we get out of the world. It's pretty scary to read these
chapters every year and realize how much of it is coming to pass. If
we are living in a way that is pleasing to God we do not have to live
in fear of it because Jesus is with us. And if we are not living
right, the time is now. “Ye adulterers and
adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity
with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the
enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The
spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace.
Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto
the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and
he will flee from you.” - James 4:4-7.
God's
judgments are not given to keep us from living a good and prosperous
life, they are given to keep us from unnecessary suffering. God's
judgments are always just, meaning He righteous, honest, true, and
treats everyone the same. John hears the praises of God's just
judgment in heaven. “And after these
things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying,
Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord
our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged
the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication,
and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again
they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the
four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped
God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came
out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and
ye that fear him, both small and great.” - Revelation
19:1-5.
“Alleluia; Salvation, and
glory, and honour, and power,” The word
Alleluia means, "Praise ye the Lord". During this time,
known as the millennium, Jews will finally acknowledge that Jesus is
the Messiah, and all believing Jews and Gentiles will become one
church, we will worship and praise the Lord together. Saying
"Alleluia" in all that God does and allow is accepting His
judgments, knowing that all good things will come from
obeying Him. “Knowing
that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by
Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your
sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many
redound to the glory of God.” - 2
Corinthians 4:14,15.
Jesus also reveals to John how He
will return, and what will happen during the millennium. “And
I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge
and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he
himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his
name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven
followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and
clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he
should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:
and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty
God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING
OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. And I saw an angel standing in the sun;
and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in
the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the
supper of the great God;” - Revelation 19:11-17.
“in
righteousness he doth judge and make war.” Jesus,
the Faithful and True, is dressed in a type of clothing dipped in His
own blood. His name is, The Word of God. He will not draw a sword, He
will simply speak the Word of God and it will pierce through every
false prophet, unbeliever, deceiver, and anyone else who does the
work of the devil and the Antichrist. The final judgment for them,
they will all be cast into the lake of fire. “And
the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought
miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received
the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both
were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the
remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse,
which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled
with their flesh.” - Revelation 19:20,21.
“And
the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the
horse,” Modern culture defines Judgment
Day as the last day, the end of time, this
is incorrect. Judgment Day is the day that Jesus will return
to judge all mankind, but it is by far the
end of time. The truth is, whether you know Christ or not your soul
will spend eternity somewhere, if you know Him that would be in His
kingdom, which He will restore in the new
earth, if you do not know Him that would
with the devil in the lake of fire. “As
thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal
life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal,
that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom
thou hast sent.” - John
17:2,3.
Today's Prayer:
God, You warn us that Your final judgment upon all mankind will come
quickly. We, who are saved look forward to that glorious day when all
of creation acknowledges You as Lord, but our hearts cry out to
family members and loved ones who have denied Your Son. Lord, renew
our passion for reaching the lost so that they too will proclaim
Christ as King of kings, open their hearts to receive Your Son as You
have opened ours. Give us peace and comfort upon those who reject
Him, and give us Your power to be the example of Christ, and to know
the difference between Your laws and mans religion. In Jesus' name.
Amen.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
