Message Title: God Of Peace Be With You

Hello
My Friend,

As Christians grow in Christ they build a
foundation upon Him that cannot be moved, after all, Christ is the
Rock upon which they stand and no one or thing can knock them off
Him. As we build our lives upon the Rock we become stronger, wiser,
and more effective in everything we do, even handling the
circumstances that come our way. At times, even the strongest
Christian can forget that they are standing upon the Rock when some
of those circumstances seem to never go away. Never fear, Christ is
near, even when it seems like the floor is falling beneath us.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth
sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let
every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in
a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but
also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel
unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared
unto every good work.” - 2 Timothy 2:19-21.

Job
was a faithful, godly man, prosperous, famous, and probably
considered to be like a king in his day, but in a matter of days he
lost his family, wealth, friends, and health. On top of that the only
four people that would talk to Him were condemning him. He could not
understand why he was going through so much suffering and although he
did not curse God he did question why He was not answering him.
Finally, God does speak to him, He asks him about eighty questions
knowing that he could not possibly answer any of them “Canst
thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow
the valleys after thee? Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is
great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? Wilt thou believe him,
that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn? Gavest
thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto
the ostrich? Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in
dust, And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild
beast may break them. She is hardened against her young ones, as
though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to
her understanding.” - Job 39:10-17.

God shows Job
what little he knew about the untamed creatures that run wild in the
world. The unicorn, yes they were real, and known to us as a rhino,
is a strong, proud creature, able to serve, but not willing. The
peacock, an emblem of pride, when he struts, shows his beautiful
feathers as if he needs no one. The ostrich, a foolish bird, buries
her egg in the ground and leaves them there, careless of what happens
them. All of these creatures are an example of those who know God
exists, yet refuse to acknowledge Him or even reject Him as an
existence. God knows that many of His creatures, created in His image
will reject Him, but He never gives up hope that they will learn of
Him and seek to know His Son. Why? He doesn't want anyone to end up
in hell, even the vilest of sinners. “How
think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone
astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the
mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that
he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep,
than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not
the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little
ones should perish.” - Matthew 18:12-14.

We
become children of God the second we call on the Lord, Jesus Christ
to be our Saviour, and by faith we live the rest of our lives on
earth knowing that it will not be over when we die. As we grow in
Christ we put our faith and trust in Him to lead us and guide us to a
prosperous and meaningful life. Yet, more often than we would like to
admit, we are quick to question Him when affliction comes. Sooner or
later, God will confront us and make us answer some tough questions,
which is what He did with Job. “Shall he that
contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let
him answer it. Then Job answered the LORD, and said, Behold, I am
vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will
proceed no further. Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the
whirlwind, and said, Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand
of thee, and declare thou unto me. Wilt thou also disannul my
judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? Hast
thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?”
- Job 40:2-9.

The world strives on trying to figure out
how everyone and everything is created, but the truth is they will
never know how God really created anything. They come up with these
lame theories, like evolution and the big bang to get people away
from the truth. We are all born with the knowledge of God, it is over
the years that one becomes distant to that fact as they allow the
world to enter their lives and corrupt them into believing the lies
over the truth. “Because that, when they knew
God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became
vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the
glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible
man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. For
this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their
women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things
are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them
that do them.” - Romans 1:21-23,26,32.

Job
couldn't say anything, but acknowledge that there are many things in
this world that cannot be explained. “I know
that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden
from thee. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore
have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me,
which I knew not. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will
demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. I have heard of thee by the
hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor
myself, and repent in dust and ashes. And it was so, that after the
LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the
Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two
friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my
servant Job hath. And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he
prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he
had before. Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his
sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and
did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and
comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him:
every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of
gold. So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his
beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand
camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.”
- Job 42:2-7,10-12.

God brought Job to the realization
that he was not meant to know all the answers to life's problems, he
just had to trust Him and keep living the life that he had been
living. After Job was put to the test and passed, his friends did not
pass, God confronted them on the way they treated him. Job was
blessed with double of what he lost after he prayed for his friends.
We too must come to the place where we realize we do not know all the
answers, but trust God to give us the ones we need to know. God knows
what He is doing, every trial, every circumstance, every situation we
get into, is not by chance, it is all to get us to realize that we
have a bigger God than our situation. “Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things
are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be
any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both
learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of
peace shall be with you.” - Philippians 4:6-9.

Today's
Prayer: God, No matter how much I believe that my
circumstances are only temporary and that You will take care of me
through them I still let my circumstances control me sometimes. I
want to take control of my circumstances, but giving them all over to
You, and know that You are the one to do that. As I do my part,
trusting You and having faith and hope in You, I know You will do
Your part in seeing the possible come out of what looks impossible.
