Message: 1 Chronicles: A Perfect Heart And
Willing Mind

Hello My Friend,

Perfect,
Complete; not defective. Willing, Determined; desiring. Our heart is
more than that organ that keeps our body pumping blood through our
body, it is the center of our soul. Have you ever had a defective
heart? We have all had heart troubles of some kind. Ever experienced
an anxiety attack? Ever see someone die of a broken heart? My brother
passed away five years ago, he was thirty-nine, I believe part of the
reason was because he gave up his will to live when he woke up in the
hospital and was tied down trying to get up. The heart of our soul is
amazing, it loves, gets excited, and brings so much joy and happiness
to us, but it is also full of things that can take the life out of
us. If we do not have a perfect heart, it will be the death of us.
Only we have the power to be determined to get our heart right. Jesus
will do everything He can to heal us, but we must be willing to
address the issues that are giving us a defective heart. “My
flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and
my portion for ever.
” - Psalms 73:26.

The key to
having a perfect heart is Jesus. After all, He is the one who
cleanses us and makes our soul perfect the second we believe on Him
as our Saviour. We all have bad days, and bad attitudes sometimes,
Jesus is the only one who has the power to give us a perfect heart.
Part of that perfection comes by dedicating our lives to Him,
everything we have ought to be dedicated to Him. So, as David
continues to get the house of God and his kingdom in order before he
died, he focuses his attention on those who would be in charge of the
treasures, the things dedicated to God, which were going into the
house of God.

And of the
Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over
the treasures of the dedicated things. As concerning the sons of
Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of
Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli. The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and
Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the house of the
LORD. Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain
the house of the LORD. And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son
of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had
dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the
hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren. Of the Izharites, Chenaniah
and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers
and judges. And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of
valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of
Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD,
and in the service of the king.
” - 1 Chronicles
26:20-22,27-30.

and whosoever had
dedicated any thing,
” Dedicate, To set apart and consecrate
to God. The second we get saved, we are set apart and consecrated to
God, meaning we have been cleansed of our sins and now able to stand
before Him. Many times a heart may not be perfect because it is not
willing to give it all to God, there is something in their lives they
do not want God to be a part of. Our heart will never be prefect
until we give it al to God. “The righteous
cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their
troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and
saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of
the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

- Psalms 34:17-19.

Take
charge, To lead, in some cases to attack. The most important thing we
can do to get a perfect heart is to take charge and attack the issue.
We must understand that we cannot get through our issues on our own,
we need some help. We must also understand that everything is not
always about us, if we start helping others our issues will seem
easier to overcome. Now, David sets in order the storehouses and
cities, he makes sure that there was a different person in charge
each month so they don’t get overburdened.

Now
the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the chief fathers
and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that
served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went
out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every
course were twenty and four thousand. Over the first course for the
first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course were
twenty and four thousand. And over the king's treasures was Azmaveth
the son of Adiel: and over the storehouses in the fields, in the
cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the
son of Uzziah: And over them that did the work of the field for
tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub: And over the
vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the
vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite: And over the
olive trees and the sycomore trees that were in the low plains was
Baalhanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:

- 1 Chronicles 27:1,2,25-28.

which
came in and went out month by month
” God does not expect us
to carry our burdens all by ourselves, yeah, sometimes we are the
cause of our issues, but it’s time to take charge, attack the
issue, and get help. Do not try to do everything yourself, and all at
once. The first step to overcoming any issue is to admit that you
have a problem. A church or anything else cannot be run by one
person, it needs a willing crew. The same rings true if we are going
to get perfect heart, which is why Jesus wants us to take our burdens
to Him. “Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find
rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

- Matthew 11:28-30.

Now, David gathers everyone together
to explain all their duties, what was expected of all of them, and
what Solomon was about to do. “Now therefore
in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the
audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the
LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for
an inheritance for your children after you for ever. And thou,
Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a
perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all
hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if
thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he
will cast thee off for ever. Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen
thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it. Then
David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the
houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper
chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place
of the mercy seat, And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit,
of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round
about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries
of the dedicated things: Also for the courses of the priests and the
Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the
LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD
.”
- 1 Chronicles 28:8-13.

and serve
him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind:
” I read
this quote yesterday and it struck me, “Whatever is said to you
came from the heart of the one who said it.” I got to thinking how
many times I have said something to someone because my heart was not
right. Then I realized, my words were not really toward that person,
but something from my past. You know, quite often, we do experience
things in our lives and kind of push them to the side, but never
really address the issue. This can cause a lot of bitterness and even
self hatred in our heart, and let me tell you it will eat you up
until you address it. I have a burden on my heart that I have pushed
aside, only to have it resurface to remind me that it still has an
impact on my life. I know the only way I am going to remove that
bitterness in my heart is to hand it all over to God and let Him take
the reins. “Cast thy burden upon the LORD,
and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be
moved.
” -Psalm 55:22.

Jesus
Christ Revealed
: Today Jesus is revealed through the
temple treasures and things dedicated to the LORD. Jesus Christ holds
all the treasures we need. “That their hearts
might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches
of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the
mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all
the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
” - Colossians
2:2,3.

Today's Prayer:
(Excerpts from Psalms 25) God, Thank You for Your goodness, and Your
perfect heart. Mine
eyes
are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn
thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I
am desolate and afflicted. The
troubles of my heart are enlarged:
O bring thou me out of my distresses. Look upon mine affliction and my
pain; and forgive all my sins. Consider mine enemies; for they are
many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. O keep my soul, and deliver
me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Let integrity
and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
In
the name of Jesus, Amen.

God
Bless You, I am praying for you,
