Today's Message: Restored Blessings
We are truly blessed in many ways by God, but in these most unpredictable times we need to come to Jesus in full repentance for our sins. Only then can all of our blessings from Him be restored.

After King Solomon prayed the longest prayer recorded in Scripture, fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifices and offerings that were at the altar, and God filled His house with His presence. "Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever." (II Chronicles 7:1-3). What a sight that must have been to see fire come down from heaven and in an instant God was there. We are truly blessed today because we no longer have to place an animal on the altar in order to be forgiven of our sins and enjoy the presence of God. The presence of God comes to us by Jesus Christ as we repent of our sins to Him.

After that great dedication, God again appeared to Solomon in a dream, "And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:12-14). God was telling Solomon that there was going to be disastrous times for His people (Christians too), but as long as they humbly confess their sins and turn from their sinful ways He would forgive them and restore their land.

Have you seen the natural disasters of the world (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, fires) and often wondered what all that was about? Think about the areas that have been affected the most, through them all, God was there trying to get them to turn from their wicked ways. Now, do not misunderstand me, there are times in our lives when we are faced with disaster and we are doing everything God asks us to do. Those times are tests that God allows Satan to use in order to prove our loyalty to Him. This is proved in the book of Job, " And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD." (Job 1:8-12). God allows Satan to throw tribulation our way, but He will never let Satan harm us nor send us anything that we can not handle or have come to pass.

When we are faced with tribulation we need to stop and think about what we are doing with our lives, if there is any sign that we are not living them based on God's Word than we will continue to face tribulation until we repent and turn from our wicked ways. God loves us and wants the best for us, but how can we receive the best when we rebel against everything we know is true. It's time to think about the things you want to change in your life, match them up with God's Word, repent of any things that may be hindering you from making that change. It is only then that you will begin to receive the restored blessings that God has waiting for you.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and week.
God Bless,
Christina
