Why is music so important, why is it so true
Music contains wholly all of life’s many clues
Can anything cause the feelings that music brews
I honestly think not, and neither do you
Why are you so passionate about a simple song
Why do you need melody when things go so wrong
Why does singing with strangers make you feel you belong
What is it about music that gives you emotions strong
Too soon, oh so very soon when the music ends
Why does it feel that you’ve lost your best and dearest friend
Because now you understand that you have to send
The music back into your soul for your soul to mend
