Good-bye to earth, good-bye to sky
Good-bye to hopes, away they fly
I should miss it, but I won't
I should be able to do, but don't
It's been a time of ups and downs
Life wouldn't stay within its bounds
Didn't ever learn the rules, you see
Didn't know how things should be
There were times, I thought were good
But against time, they never stood
I've even experienced what I thought was joy
Have you thought that's life's main ploy
It seemed so distant and so futile
It was sometimes somewhat brutal
I've enjoyed my stay, but not my life
It cut me off, a sympathetic knife
