I lost him in the desert
The desert so scorching hot
Who could know I’d lose him
Certainly I did not
The desert not as wild as some may think
But you can lose him before you can blink
Never ask him if he’s yours
For he’s not --- as wild rain pours
To wash away the dust and sand
To cleanse the sins or woman or man
Was it he or was it me
Don’t you know, can’t you see
