Today we are reading about the reminder that there is only One True Gospel; Paul's rebuke of Peter; justification by faith not Law; and our guide to Christ. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that all who accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior are saved by faith and not by works. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and still think that you have to work you way to heaven you are being decieved.
The book of Galatians is the 9th book of the New Testament and also the 4th epistle and contains 6 chapters. The author of the epistle is Paul and it was written to the believers of Galatia. The purpose of the epistle was to correct the false teaching of Jewish legalism in the Church. What we are to learn from the book is that Jesus delivered us from law to liberty.
This epistle (letter) settles the fact that there is only One way to avoid spending an eternal death in the lake of fire. It also gives us the assurance that all who accept Jesus as their Savior enjoys eternal life in heaven. "Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Galatians 1:1-5).
Paul also warns us that there are going to be people in the world teaching a false gospel and that we need to keep our focus on the True Gospel. "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, we are given that right by putting our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ." (1:6-8). We are going to be faced with many different views on what the True Gospel is, but we can rest assure that the truth is in the Holy Bible. That is why it is so important to read it daily and not be corrupted by those who try to alter God's Word.
We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, we are given that right by our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (6:16-20).
Jesus is the only mediator that gets us to heaven, the full meaning of God's grace and undeserved loving-kindness was revealed when Jesus died on the cross that we might be delivered from our sin and eventually enter heaven to be with Him. Since no one has the ability to keep the Law of God, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, by becoming the curse for us. This is the True Gospel of Christ and if you are getting any other information you are being decieved. Do not be decieved, learn the truth. Get into reading your Bible, God will help you understand what you are reading, get into a Bible believing church if you are not in one, stick with Bible studies by teachers such as myself that will help you further understand. By surrounding yourself with the truth you can not be corrupted by the false teachings of others.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Help me to remain faithful to You and your calling upon my life. Strengthen and grow my faith as I daily search Your Scriptures and apply their truths to my spiritual walk. As I go through the trials and experiences of my earthly journey would You fix my eyes and my ever-wandering heart upon Jesus. Help me to stay focused on the truth and not get corrupted by any lies that may have been place before me. In Jesus' name.........Amen.
Have a wonderful day and week.
God Bless,
Christina
