Never been go D.C. will get there one day far
Never been to New York, Kansas City or Miramar
Thought I would get there when innocent and young
To those hopes I always fervently and tightly clung
Never been to D.C. perhaps I never will
Never been to Boston, I might be able one day still
But the time is passing, passing day by year
Is it my life or another's carelessly to steer
Been to the grocery store, lost in the mall lot, too
But not to exotic places, except in brochures I do
Not to the theater to see Keanu or Clint
If anyone ever asks me, I always say I didn't
Well.............................. It's been an interesting life
Living here with.......................................uneasy rife
Living with trouble...........................filled with strife
