A delicate pink wildflower
Picked and left upon her plate
Saying, "I love you"
Even if you don't mean it
Because one day you may
Letting her have her way
Just because
Giving her a taste of your boysenberry tart
You knew she'd love it
Awakening at the crack of dawn
To share an experience that takes her breath away
Not allowing the doctors to operate
Just to let them appear to be helping
In a hopeless situation
Holding her when she doesn't want to be
Because she does
And you know it
Beauty to be treasured
