Batman!
Batman remains close to my heart
For I knew him from the very start
Of my childhood, so simple, unformed
He would see that I stayed unharmed
Then I grew older, he got pushed away
I saw him only on certain days
Far apart and very few
The space between us wider grew
Then I settled and had a life
How could I knew that life was strife
Hard and full of many trials
And not turned off with the flick of a dial
Buried in a hole filled with trouble
Which would not shrink, but merely doubled
The sharks surrounding me grew in number
I became the ultimate consummate bumbler
“Help!†I cried and before I knew
A hero appeared to gave me a clue
Then he put me in the Batcar
And took me to a mansion far
He is never away from me long
And I know he won’t do me wrong
So the rest of my days will be just right
In trouble, I search upward for Batlight
These days, I call him Bruce
