Life in a Bottle, on the inside looking out
Trying for an escape, looking for the route
Clawing for a handhold on the slippery walls
Listening for an answer to mute beseeching calls
Society stares at you and stones they are throwing
For you can be seen in your bottle; you are clearly showing
But rocks cannot enter the bottle and you feel secure
Until the glass shatters and unprotected you can’t endure
Life outside the bottle is harsh and unshielded
Hurricanes and earthquakes in that realm are wielded
So the choice is yours, what will you select
In the bottle or in the world, both you must reject
